RoutesBeautiful walk includes Natural History Museum, Heron Rookery, shoreline parks, the vibrant Embarcadero, and historic Morro Rock. There are many shops and restaurants along the route. Trail rating 1+, not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers due to 2 sets of stairs. |
Start/Finish PointRegistration is at the 2 Dogs' Café & Internet Cafe, 844 Main Street, Morro Bay CA, which is open Daily 6 am to dusk. This walk is in San Luis Obispo County, CA. The start/finish is at the the Morro Bay Marina. Walk only between dawn and dusk. In the walk binder, you will find Self Addressed Stamped Envelopes (SASE). Please place your start cards and payments into the SASE and drop them in a mailbox. |

Host Location InformationHalfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles, Morro Bay is located on
the Central Coast of California, just a few miles west of the 101 Freeway
and on the picturesque Highway 1. When you arrive in Morro Bay, the first
things you notice are the landmark, Morro Rock, and beautiful Morro Bay. |
Event Registration FeesAll walkers must register and carry a start card. This event counts towards IVV Achievement Awards.

Refreshments/RestroomsWater and restrooms are available at the 2 Dogs' Café, Natural History Museum, Tidewell Park , the historic marker as well as many other locations along the embarcadero. |
MiscellaneousAn adult must accompany children under 12. Dogs must be on a leash and owners must clean up after their pets. Every reasonable effort will be taken to make the event safe and enjoyable for everyone. However, the SLO Soles cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen articles, accidents, or injury of any kind.
