Routes

Rated 1+. This lovely walk includes the historic downtown and City Park. The walk also winds through shady neighborhoods of Victorian homes. Route has several hills. Summers can be very hot, plan on walking early in AM or evening and carrying water. This walks is suitable for jogging strollers but not wheelchairs.

Start/Finish Point

Café Vio, 1111 Riverside Ave, Paso Robles, CA (Under the Sizzler at the Granary). This walk is in San Luis Obispo County, CA. The start/finish is at the Cafe Vio, Hours are Seasonal, please check the Café Vio web site for their current hours. Walk only between dawn and dusk. In the walk binder, you will find Self Addressed Stamped Envelopes (SASE). Please place your start cards and payments into the SASE and drop them in a mailbox.

  • Summer Hours are:

    • Monday-Thursday 7am - 5pm

    • Friday 7am -10 pm

    • Saturday 8am - 5pm

    • Sunday 9am - 4pm

  • Winter hours are:

    • Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm

    • Saturday 8am - 5pm 

    • Sunday 9am - 4pm

Directions

  • From the south:

    • Take 101 north to Spring St. exit ( first Paso Robles exit).

    • Continue north on Spring to 13th St.

    • Right on 13th St. to Riverside.

    • Right on Riverside.

    • Two blocks to Cafe Vio.

  • From the North:

    • Take 101 south to Spring St. exit ( first Paso Robles exit)).

    • Continue south on Spring St. through town to 13th St.

    • Left on 13th St. to Riverside.

    • Right on Riverside.

    • Two blocks to Cafe Vio
       

 

Host Location Information

El Paso de Robles (The Pass of the Oaks) a community of 26,000 nestled in the coastal mountain range of central California, where the values and riches of the past are interwoven with the future. Event Registration Fees

All walkers must register and carry a start card. This event counts towards IVV Achievement Awards.

These events are open to everyone. An adult must accompany children under 12. Dogs must be on a leash.

Refreshments/Restrooms

Bathrooms are available at Cafe Vio & City Park. Due to the heat, walkers should carry water with them.

Miscellaneous

An adult must accompany children under 12. Dogs must be on a leash and owners must clean up after their pets. Every reasonable effort will be taken to make the event safe and enjoyable for everyone. However, the SLO Soles cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen articles, accidents, or injury of any kind.
